The Neal-Schuman Foundation
Aiding, assisting, and promoting research and educational activities for the improvement of library and information services
2000 saw the establishment of The Neal-Schuman Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation formed to aid, assist, and promote research and educational activities for the improvement of library and information services. Created by Patricia Glass Schuman and John Vincent Neal in 2000, the Foundation has awarded research and program grants to Friends of Library USA, the Knowledge River Program at the University of Arizona 's School of Information Resources and Library Science, the Sara Fine Institute at the University of Pittsburgh 's School of Information Sciences, and the American Library Association.
