Bob GlassBob Glass is Undergraduate Programme Leader for the Department of Information and Communications at Manchester Metropolitan University. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and also a qualified librarian with many years of experience in libraries, bookselling, publishing and higher education. His current areas of teaching and research are library resource management, library systems, network technologies, information literacy, Web 2.0 technologies and creating social learning spaces.
Bob is the local area co-ordinator for information literacy with the Higher Education Funding Council (HEFC)-funded LearnHigher Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). His role is to develop the learning area, produce research outputs and make available new resources to assist information literacy teaching. He travels extensively in Europe and the USA, delivering lecture programmes, developing links with library and information science schools and sharing good practice in information literacy with library instruction practitioners.
